2025 GARDEN MASTER EVENT

1/5

ABOUT 2025 GARDEN MASTER EVENT COMING SUNDAY, AUGUST 17,

The Garden Club of Greater Milwaukee, in partnership with The Garden Conservancy, is excited to announce the 2025 Garden Master Event: Kelton House Farm - Celebrating the American Colonial Spirit in House and Garden. We are thrilled to be returning to Kelton House Farm in Ozaukee County. Past visitors have said that the visit was a highlight of their life-time gardening journey!

Kelton House Farm evokes a sense of place that celebrates the colonial period of American history. The early eighteenth-century saltbox house (moved from New England) is set in the context of a rural American farmstead. Gardens of historic design are surrounded by  a pastoral landscape, creating a peaceful oasis lost in time.

Spend an afternoon at Kelton House Farm, exploring the heirloom cutting, perennial, and vegetable gardens, the apiary, peacock house and other out-buildings. The gardens, which feature pre-1750 heirloom varieties of flowers, herbs, fruits, and vegetables, are artistically designed and punctuated with antique garden ornaments from England and New England. Throughout the property are unique pots and other vessels holding inspired and unexpected plantings.

Enjoy an elegant English tea under the shade of mature trees (or in an atmospheric potting shed if rain is in the forecast).  The tea will feature jams, jellies, and preserves made with fruits, flowers, and herbs from the garden, as well as honey from the Farm's hives.

Kelton House Farm will be open from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for pre-registered guests who will arrive via horse and carriage for a tour of the historic home with the owner at 1:30 p.m. (sold out) or 3:30 p.m.  An English tea will be served for all to enjoy.

Capacity of 25 people for each session. $200 for Garden Conservancy members and $225 for members of the general public
